Herdade do Cebolal Palhete - This wine is a classic style of typical Portuguese wines from central and southern Portugal. It is called Palhete because it is a blend of white and red grapes. We have created a wine for those who enjoy a lighter red that can be drunk at any time of the year.

Grape varieties:

Aragonês & Antão Vaz

The grapes were harvested at the end of August, dictated by climatic conditions and grape ripeness. The grapes were hand-selected and
chosen. The must was in contact with the skins for about 4 days in a clay lagar to preserve its freshness and minerality. After skin contact, the must finishes alcoholic fermentation with indigenous yeasts.

Since 1890 - Generational Family Project

Herdade do Cebolal is located on the Alentejo Coast, in the village of Vale das Éguas, in the municipality of Santiago do Cacém. Since 1890, our family project has been passed down from generation to generation, currently managed by the 4th and 5th generation: Isabel and her son Luís Lufinha Mota Capitão. The knowledge, transmitted through generations, strengthened by values, ethics, responsibility, and respect for man and nature, gives rise to this heritage that identifies us as a family. We are wine artisans, respecting the authenticity of our terroir, which translates into wines with personality, respect for the environment, and low chemical intervention.”
